Data projectors

A data projector is a device which is used to display computer output on a large screen. This allows many more people to see the text and graphical information (even video clippings) from a computer. The data projectors are connected to computer by using a special pin. Data projectors have the capability of displaying 16 million colours at very high resolution. Since weight is less, they are easily portable. Nowadays, all academic organizations are using data projectors. Some social organizations are also using this facility to spread messages in remote villages. There are two types of data projectors- LCD projectors and DLP projectors. Liquid crystal display technology is employed in LCD projectors which are connected directly to a computer. LCD projectors use an inbuilt light to display the information on the screen. Digital light processing technology is employed in DLP projectors where a set of mirrors are used which reflect the light. LCD projectors should be operated in a dark room for good results whereas DLP projectors can be used anywhere.
